Speed Dating

Speed dating is basically a series of small/mini dates held in the same place on the same night. Between 10-15 of these dates can occur throughout the night and they are for a fixed period of between 5 and 10 minutes.

The way it works is that each of the participating women are given a table, and men are allocated a starting table. A 'mini date' then occurs between the people sitting at each table during which they can have a chat and introduce themselves. At the end of the set time period a bell rings and the man leaves the table and moves onto the next.

Before moving on however the people mark down details of their date on a provided score card (and indicate whether they would like to meet again). At the end of the night these scorecards are collected by the speed dating organizer. If both participants in a particular date indicate that they would like to see each other then they are sent the contact details of the other party (the following day).
